As a media and public speaking trainer, JJ Pryor has worked with a wide variety of spokespersons including senior executives of Fortune 500 companies, issue managers and scientists, cause crusaders and celebrities representing a multitude of industries and concerns. In addition to CEOs and other senior executives, she has also worked with well-known public figures and celebrities ranging from former President Jimmy Carter to pop-artists Andy Warhol and Keith Haring to noted musicians Yo Yo Ma and Stephan Grappelli to members of the U.S. Olympic Swim Team.

J.J. knows how to provide clients with the tools, training and practice needed to control the direction of a media interview or public speaking engagement and to prepare for the unexpected. She also specializes in helping to translate technical information into laymen's terms to hold an audience's attention.

J.J. has more than 20 years experience in the communications field resulting in a vast knowledge of "what works and what doesn't." So whether the client is a veteran or a novice when it comes to delivering a message, J.J. has proven time and again to be a very valuable resource.

J.J. began her career conducting Spokesperson Development Workshops at Manning, Selvage & Lee in New York City as a Broadcast Media Specialist for accounts including Upjohn Pharmaceuticals, Hoffman-LaRoche, The National Coffee Association, S.C. Johnson & Sons, U.S. Virgin Islands and the "I Love New York" campaign. In addition, as an Account Supervisor for Rumrill-Hoyt in New York, a Saatchi & Saatchi agency, she worked with Eastman Kodak executives heading the company's Graphic Markets, Business Systems, Health Sciences and Motion Picture and Audiovisual Divisions to develop messaging and position products to reach business to business audiences.

As a Vice President at David S. Wachsman Associates in New York, J.J. worked on the creative team in conjunction with TBWA Advertising to position celebrities and spokespersons for the Absolut Vodka campaign, one of the most successful marketing campaigns in U.S. consumer goods history, which touched on lifestyle trends covering art, music, fashion and culture.

While at DuPont, serving as a Senior Corporate Public Affairs Manager, J.J. prepared senior management for press interviews related to air quality issues, manufacturing waste disposal, crisis management and a company-wide restructuring to lower operating costs by $1 billion which impacted 20,000 employees. She also worked with former President Jimmy Carter to prepare him for a press conference to announce Dupont's involvement in a humanitarian project in conjunction with The Carter Center. Her role was to prepare Carter for issues the press might address related to The Carter Center's involvement with a chemical company during a time of heightened public concern about ozone layer depletion. For her work with Carter, JJ received the company's Exceptional Achievement Award.

In addition, J.J. served as Director of Public Relations for Consumer Products for MCI Communications Corporation during the highly publicized "telecom war" where she was charged with handling all press inquires and strategically developing messaging for senior executives. She also served as Executive Director of the MCI Foundation where she spearheaded efforts to encourage community-based technology access, innovative teaching applications and creative education strategies to help benefit underserved communities.

J.J. has also prepared spokespersons to address the issue of sprawl on behalf of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and conducted spokesperson development workshops with scientists for the International Food Information Council to address the topic of Agricultural Biotechnology.
